The Laboratory of Sociology and Visual Research
is a structure of the Department of Sociology whose principal activity is the
production and management of multimedia information relative to, or usable within,
particular areas of social research.
The Laboratory’s main purpose is therefore to support research and teaching in the Department of Sociology. Its principal activity is the development of techniques and methodologies for production and visual analysis in support of the social sciences, especially as regards the study and observation of urban contexts and their socio-territorial changes, but also studies on the media and new media undertaken in other disciplines such as tourism science, geography, and anthropology.
